  1. Folklorico Bootcamp

    Have you ever wanted to learn folklorico, Mexican folk dancing? Would you like to learn cultural traditions and history of Mexico while burning calories? Are you ages 15 & up? Well, this is your opportunity! First-time Folklorico is geared to beginner-level older students(ages 15&up) that have wanted to learn Mexican folklorico dance, but never had a chance. This intensive class will review basic footwork, body posture, and skirt work. Participants should bring hard-soled shoes with a heel.     Just keep movin'! Join these extremely popular exercise sessions designed especially for those with mobility issues or who have difficulty standing while exercising. Slow stretches and comfortable balance exercises, while seated or in contact with a chair, will help tone and strengthen muscles to increase mobility and flexibility. gradual use of hand weights and stretch bands is also incorporated. Easily adaptable for those with physical limitations.

    Capture spring on canvas! Join our creative, motivational instructor in this progressive art workshop. This long-running, ever-popular class is designed to allow students of all levels to paint and draw or just improve their skills. Individual instruction based upon skill levels. All mediums can be taught. Students must choose to attend on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of each week. Instructor Barbara Wilson, of Wilson School of Art, has over 35 years of experience.

    Whether you want to be the next pro gamer, streamer, or gamecaster this course will teach you the basics to get started! No longer just a hobby, eSports is the fastest growing career for the next generation. Over 400 million people watched You Tube videos and Twitch streams of video game competitions this year alone! In this course, students will develop competitive game-play skills in Black Rocket’s new eSports App, learn how to produce commentary for live tournaments, use professional streaming software, and most importantly practice online safety. Students will gain full access to the eSports App and a video of their class tournament with commentary. Videos will not be broadcast publicly but will be shared with all students in the class.

    Sauté, simmer, slice, bake, and blend to create delicious foods! Campers will create an assortment of dishes and desserts, as well as learn all about cooking safety and reading recipes. Space is extremely limited - only 12 campers per session! July 15th session will be Casseroles.
