UPDATE: TPD Investigates Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Accident
TEMPLE, TX (November 5, 2019) – A man who was struck by a vehicle Monday evening succumbed to his injuries.
The man was identified as 49-year-old Paul Pennington of Temple. Next of kin have been notified.
Officers were advised that the driver of a 2001 Mazda pick-up was traveling northbound on North 1st Street when the victim crossed in front of the vehicle. The driver attempted to avoid the victim, but was unable to do so.
The department's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is continuing it still investigating the accident.
TEMPLE, TX (November 4, 2019) – The Temple Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred Monday evening.
At about 6:31 p.m. on Nov. 4, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South 1st Street where a male subject had been struck by a vehicle.
Officers were advised the male was crossing the road and was hit by a Mazda pick-up.
The male was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple with life-threatening injuries.
The Temple Police Department's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is investigating the accident. More information will be released as it is available.
