The City of Temple is initiating the preparation of their 2020-2024 Consolidated Plans and FY 2020 Annual Action Plans and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing. We are seeking your participation in a series of workshops and public meetings scheduled for February 25-27, 2020.
The city is required to prepare a five-year Consolidated Plan and a FY 2020 Annual Action Plan. In these documents, the city will identify the affordable housing and community development needs within the community for the next five years. Annually, the City of Temple receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). To continue receiving these funds, the city is required to identify and prioritize the needs and explain how they will address the needs through local projects. In addition, the City of Temple is also conducting a study concerning impediments fair housing known as the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice.
Your participation in this process is very important. The city wants to hear your opinions and ideas on the priority needs for the next five years—affordable housing, fair housing, neighborhood preservation, services needed to improve economic self-sufficiency among lower income residents, housing needs among the homeless and other populations, and much more.
Join us at any one or more of the following Stakeholder Workshops & Public Meetings listed below. The purpose of these workshops is for the city to listen to you tell us what the needs are for the residents in the City of Temple.
Take our online bilingual survey and feel free to forward the survey link to colleagues, clients, neighbors and friends.
