A little about me:

I love what I do! I feel very blessed to have such a great team and to also work with a truly great group of people at the City of Temple!

What we do matters so much. The City of Temple is such a gem and to be on the team that helps make that gem really shine, is pretty great!

I am married to a fantastic husband (Matt) who is originally from England. We met in Abilene, Texas while attending college. We have two AMAZING sons, Matthew and Callum!

What would you be doing if you went another direction in your career?Meteorology

When you are not working, what are you doing?
When I am not at work, I enjoy hanging out with my family. Usually we are having a nerf war or at a youth sporting event! I also enjoy "Amazon Priming" - gotta love that 'buy it now' button!

A little about me:

I have been involved in leading destination marketing organizations (DMOs) for over 25 years and have enjoyed working with destination marketing organizations from the east coast (Hilton Head Island) to the west coast (Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and West Hollywood) and locations between on various projects and programs including strategic and marketing planning, mystery shopping, public relations and accreditation assistance.

I am thrilled to be part of the brilliant Marketing and Communications team. They do amazing work for the City of Temple.

I spent most of my life in southern Indiana and made my way to Texas just 4 years ago. I am really loving that decision.

I am married to an amazing husband who is originally from Canada. He is loving our life in Texas. Our grown son and daughter-in-law live in Las Vegas.

When you aren’t working, what are you doing?
I am a voracious reader, an avid gardener, a creative cook and enthusiastic boutique shopper.

A little about me:

I pretty much grew up right here in Central Texas and stayed close to home to attend the University of Texas-Austin. After graduating, I packed my bags and hit the road living in cities like Houston, Chicago, Nashville, Dallas, and back to Austin. Throughout my marketing and advertising career I've been lucky enough to work on some amazing brands, both client side and agency side. I've marketed all sorts of things from markers and pens, to power tools, sandwiches, candy and cupcakes. Government is just like marketing candy, right?

When you aren't working, what are you doing?
Eating. I love to eat. A LOT! Because I can't have my jaw wired shut, I have to go to the gym all the time. So you can usually find me there. I also like to do yard work and work on projects around my house. My home is located in the Historic District of Temple and was built in the 1930's, so something is usually broken!
Best Advice You've Been Given?
Keep your life simple. Sleep is important. It's okay to be selfish. Stop doing what doesn't make you happy. It is okay to tell people "no". You have one life to live, so live it well.

A little about me:

A few years ago, I started working with the City in the Public Works Department. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for how the City seeks to improve the quality of life for our citizens, one program at a time. I’m excited to work with such an amazing team in Marketing and Communications, and I look forward to being a part of the great things happening within the City of Temple.

Why Marketing?

Temple is my home. This is a great place to live and work and I want others to know all the amazing things Temple has to offer.

When you aren't working, what are you doing?
I like to relax by listening to music, cross stitching, reading and hanging out with my fur baby, Parker. She is spoiled, but super cute, and she knows it. Her favorite activities are napping, car rides and treats.

Fun Fact Nobody Knows About Me?

By the power vested in me by the internet, I am ordained to marry people in the state of Texas.

A little about me:

I grew up in a small town outside of San Antonio and moved to West Texas to attend Texas Tech. I graduated with a degree in Agricultural Communications and started my marketing career in Lubbock as the Communications Director for Texas Peanuts! After eating my weight in peanuts, I switched to agency marketing and relocated to Austin. I knew I wanted to get back to client side marketing, as well as escape the horrific traffic of the city! So here I am, slowly making the transition into a slower paced life as a new Templite...Templonian...Templeton??

Why Marketing?
I love storytelling. I enjoy getting to dive into what makes an organization special and share that with everyone. I also love to sprinkle in a little humor into my stories to keep readers on their toes and make sure they are paying attention.
Favorite inspirational quote?
“To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first, and call whatever you hit the target.”

When you aren’t working, what are you doing?
I'm usually playing with my furbaby, Aggie - she's a Corgi, and I love her very much; or traveling across this great state of Texas.

A little about me:

I grew up in Southern California but moved to Texas after receiving an athletic scholarship to compete on Baylor University’s Acrobatics & Tumbling team. I discovered my passion for marketing after taking a few marketing-focused courses while earning my degree in Public Relations. Aside from my interest in communications, I always found governmental work to be interesting, so my role as a Communications Specialist for the City is a perfect fit. I know the work I do can have a positive impact on the residents of Temple.

Why Marketing?

Marketing is like storytelling. When sharing a story, the goal is to make it as intriguing as possible, in a manner that resonates with the audience. I have a passion for finding creative ways to communicate messaging and calls to action for the public.

Favorite Inspirational quote?
Everything you want lies outside of your comfort zone.

Any hidden or special talents?
After being a gymnast for 19 years, I can do flips! Lots and lots of flips!

What would you be doing if you didn’t follow a marketing path?
My dream job is to be ice cream taste-tester, but realistically, I would have had a career in forensic science.
When you are not working, what are you doing?
You find me at the gym or shopping online for my puppy.

Fun fact about you?

I was on the Ellen DeGeneres show after winning my first World Championship title for Power Tumbling.

A little about me:

I started out really wanting to save the world as an environmentalist, but ended up finding my real passion for graphic design during my second year in college. I've been designing since 2011 and started my professional career in Texas in 2014.

Why Marketing?
Why marketing? Somebody has to make things look good.
What inspires you?
I get my biggest inspiration from design styles i haven't seen before and really out-of-the box concepts.
