Community members are the City's greatest asset and government works most effectively when it works with its community. Getting involved as a volunteer in your community gives you an opportunity to help solve problems, make important social connections, and see your community as a living whole in which you are a vital participant. Here are several ways you can get involved to help make Temple a safe, affordable, vibrant, innovative, and interconnected city.
The City of Temple encourages participation by its citizens in City government through service on City boards and commissions. The Temple City Council is committed to appointing highly qualified and dedicated people to these boards to lend a diverse viewpoint concerning issues facing Temple.
Thank you for your interest in the Temple Historic Marker Program! This program is a project of the Temple Historic Preservation Committee. The Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, created this program in order to recognize Temple's many historic landmarks and to instill a sense of community pride among Temple's residents.
