Sales of Surplus Property
Periodically the City will dispose of its surplus property by sale to the general public through an on-line auction process. On-line auctions are held with Govdeals.com. By clicking on this GovDeals
link, it will take you directly to the City of Temple's auction pages. However, please note that the GovDeals page will only be populated when the City has items up for auction.
If you are interested in bidding on any of the auction items, there is no cost to register, and you can register by clicking the "register" box in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Once registered and logged in, you can select different criteria that you would like to be notified about by using the "Bid Watch" link on your account.
For instance if you would like to receive an email whenever there is an auction within a 50 mile range of your zip code follow the steps below:
a. Log into your account at www.govdeals.com
b. Click on the "Bid Watch" link located at the top right corner of page;
c. Click on the "Advanced Search" link at the right hand side of the page;
d. On the "Location" section, 50 miles is populated all you have to do is enter your zip code;
e. Click the "Search" button at the bottom of the page;
f. Click the "Save as Favorite" link at the top of the page directly under the "Search Results for";
g. A "Save as Favorite" box will appear on the screen then select save; and
h. This will take you to the favorite screen where you can select when you want to receive an email(s)
1.) When new items are added to the auction site, and/or
2.) When items are nearing their auction date
Repeat this procedure to select as many criteria as you would like to be notified about.
