The City of Temple is now RECYCLING waste vegetable oil!

This additional service will provide citizens with the opportunity to dispose of their grease properly instead of washing it down the kitchen sink and clogging sewer pipes.

When finished cooking, collect the oils in a sealable container (such as an old glass jar or coffee can) and bring it to the Solid Waste facility. Please be mindful not to put water, food waste, soap or any other substance in with the vegetable oil that is being disposed. For the grease that cannot be poured into the container, simply wipe pans clean with a paper towel and dispose of the paper towel in the trash.

Questions regarding this new recycling opportunity can be directed to the Recycling Division of Solid Waste Services. Telephone: (254) 298-5722
