About the Department
The Temple Police Department employs 157 dedicated professionals, 130 of which are sworn officers. The department provides police services to those who live, work, and visit within the City of Temple, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The core philosophy of the department is to provide a safe and peaceful environment in the community through which the quality of life of all citizens may be improved.The department has adopted the motto of "Integrity, Honor, and Dedication", as these terms best describe the character
of the men and women who are the Temple Police Department.
