The City Council and City Staff are soliciting comments or feedback on the City Charter as part of an ongoing review of this document.
In April, the City Council appointed 27 residents of the City to a Charter Review Committee to review the current City Charter and to consider recommending changes to the Charter that could be placed on the ballot for voter consideration on November 4, 2014. The Charter Review Committee completed its review and the Committee’s recommendations will be presented to the City Council at a workshop on July 17, 2014. In August, the City Council will consider calling a special election to be held on November 4, 2014 to present to the voters the Committee’s recommended amendments and any other amendments submitted by the City Council.
Below you will find links to the Current City Charter, a redlined version of the Charter reflecting the Committee’s recommendations, and a clean version of the same.
