Memorial Tree Program
tree_thumb.jpg The Memorial Tree Program is your opportunity to pay a long-lasting tribute to an individual or occasion by planting a tree in his or her honor. At the same time, your donation will enhance your favorite park and support the Temple Parks Foundation. Commemorate a graduation, birth, passing, wedding, anniversary, or any special recognition.

THE TEMPLE PARKS FOUNDATION
The mission of the Temple Parks Foundation is to increase awareness, quality and usability of parks and green space by expanding the resources made available to our city parks to enhance community health and cohesiveness. The Temple Parks Foundation was established in 2001 as a non-governmental, non profit organization to provide support to parks and recreation facilities and programs. It is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.

ABOUT TREES AND MARKERS
Parks and Leisure Services staff will work with you to select a Memorial Tree that will adhere to the tree-planting plan adopted by the City of Temple. Species of trees planted will be determined based upon planting location and type of tree needed for the chosen park site.

A custom-made plaque will be installed at your memorial tree site. Markers are made with durable, outdoor rated materials to ensure a lasting recognition for many years to come.
