Permits are needed for the following 
When any owner, authorized agent, or contractor who desires to construct, enlarge, alter, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by the technical codes.

Requirements 
4 full sets of plans, 2 CDs and 2 paper copies, are required for building permits. A completed permit application does not allow you to begin work. You may begin to work after the permit has been approved.

After a permit application is submitted, the City of Temple has ten (10) business days to review and make comments before a permit can be issued.
