  1. Canton Day Trip

    What started more than a century ago as just a flea market has become home to some of the most original home furnishings, collectibles and crafts that cannot be found anywhere else. Make plans to join us for a day trip to First Monday Trade Days in Canton and enjoy a shopping experience like no other. The van will leave at 7 a.m. from the Gober Party House and return at 8 p.m. Transportation and a light breakfast snack are provided, but shopping and meals are on your own. Space is extremely limited. Pre-Registration Required

  2. Sweatin' With the Oldies

    Just keep movin'! Join "KP" as she leads these extremely popular exercise sessions designed especially for those with mobility issues or who have difficulty standing while exercising. Slow stretches and comfortable balance exercises, while seated or in contact with a chair, will help tone and strengthen muscles to increase mobility and flexibility. Gradual use of hand weights and stretch bands is also incorporated. Easily adaptable for those with physical limitations.

    Ladies, let's get together again to rekindle the friendship fire and chase fireflies! Enjoy a night under the glow of a full moon as we gather beneath the canopy of a star-lit night near the banks of Lake Jim Thornton, just behind the Center. Relax around a cozy campfire with the girls and share stories, s'mores and more. Bring a camp stool or lawn chair and a skein of yarn to donate to the Center's Circle of Friends crochet group.

  2. Ballet Folklorico de Centro Tejas

    March 2, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Blackmon Community Center

    Come and learn about the history and culture of Mexican folklorico dancing! In this beginner class, students will be taught basic footwork and skirt work. Students will need to bring hard-soled shoes. More details regarding costume and a year-end performance will be covered in class. Registration is for the entire semester and includes a T-shirt.
