  1. “HELL ON WHEELS” ARRIVES AT THE TEMPLE RAILROAD & HERITAGE MUSEUM

    April 8, 10:00 AM - August 2, 4:00 PM @ RAILROAD & HERITAGE MUSEUM

    The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum presents “Hell on Wheels: Union Pacific Railroad Towns in Wyoming”, a new temporary exhibit on display from April 8 to August 2, 2014. The exhibit, on loan from the American Heritage Center at the University of Wyoming, weaves together historical images and first-hand accounts of life in the towns along the Transcontinental Railroad as it was built.

  1. Throwback Thursday Free Summer Concert

    July 31, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Lion Sam Farrow Amphitheater @ Lions Park

    Temple Parks and Leisure Services will conclude National Park and Recreation Month, with a free concert featuring The Debonaires! The concert will take place this Thursday evening, July 31st at the Lion Sam Farrow Amphitheater in Lions Park (4320 Lions Park Rd) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Debonaires, a local favorite in Central Texas, are a staple at dancehalls and honkey tonks all over the state. For over thirty years, the band has been playing the country music circuit and performing original music, as well as covers from best artists in country music today. The band will feature a great selection from all-time favorites such as George Strait, Blake Shelton, Merle Haggard and Garth Brooks.

  1. Cooking Camp

    July 31, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Gober Party House

    Sauté, simmer, slice, bake, and blend to create delicious foods! Campers will create an assortment of dishes and desserts as well as learn all about cooking safety and reading recipes.

  2. Boxing Basics

    July 31, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Cougar Boxing Gym

    Would you like a fun and disciplined way for your child to release a lot of their energy? What about boxing? This class is an introduction to boxing focusing on safety, equipment, basic techniques, and fitness. All parents must attend the first class to go over safety procedures. There is a $10 supply fee due at the first class. Instructors: Jesse Ledezma. Location: Cougar Gym.
