    Folklorico dancing is a great way to promote cultural awareness through music and dance. Participants will learn the fine artistic traditions of the Mexican culture in a fun and positive environment. The program is divided up into 3 classes by age and skill level. Students will participate in performances to be scheduled by the Instructor.

    Does your child like to be outdoors? Does your child like to create art? Art at the Park combines both!. Enjoy the beautiful March weather, while experiencing the fun of creating outdoor art.   2. Fun Times

    March 31, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Gober Party House

    Kids just need to have fun and take a break from their daily routine. Fun Times offers that and more! This program includes once per month, themed meetups that feature adaptive recreation opportunities for children with special needs. All activities provide the opportunity for participants to learn new skills, meet new friends and enhance self-esteem and personal growth. Parent participation required

  1. Zumba Gold

    March 30, 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM @ Sammons Community Center

    Feel the rhythm, feel the results! Enjoy the moves in this fun approach to fitness, weight loss and muscle toning! Zumba Gold uses upbeat music and cardiovascular exercise to create an aerobic dance. The traditional Zumba formula is modified, adapting the dance moves and the pace to suit the needs of the active, older participants. With easy-to-follow moves and an invigorating, party-like atmosphere it is the perfect exercise program for all. Chair friendly for those with physical limitations.

  2. Tai Chi for Better Health

    March 30, 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM @ Sammons Community Center

    This ancient Chinese exercise promotes vitality, balance, strength, and longevity. Using special breathing techniques and slow, precise physical movements, Tai Chi can help curtail arthritis, respiratory disease and high blood pressure. This monthly course is adaptable for all levels of mobility. Led by Scott Worsham who has been practicing this exercise form for over 25 years.

  3. Dancing With the Starz-Ballroom Dance

    March 30, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Sammons Community Center

    Couples, discover the fun and wonderful world of ballroom dance. Whether it's your first spin around the dance floor or a refresher course for more advanced dancers, this ever-popular course is designed for all skill levels. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, great music and an energetic instructor, while you learn to dance the foxtrot, rumba, waltz, swing and a variety of other dances. New turns and combinations will challenge returning couples. Led by certified ballroom dance instructor Lillian Nash.

  4. Fitness for Life

    Get fit and stay fit! Join our energetic instructor in this low-impact, core-strengthening program designed to improve balance, flexibility, coordination and range of motion. Experience a unique fitness program using light hand weights and elastic bands to strengthen the body and focus on functional fitness. Stretching exercises complete this well-rounded workout.

  5. Line Dancing for Beginners

    Heel, toe, dosey-do--let's go boot scootin! Here is a chance to learn this perky line dance along with many other favorites in this energetic class. Enjoy great country tunes in a relaxed, fun environment. No partners necessary, no experience necessary.

    Improve your zest for life! Lift your spirits and lower your stress levels as you achieve physical and mental benefits from simple, functional and easy-to-follow movements in a soothing atmosphere. Improve your balance, range of motion, strength, flexibility and joint mobility, while keeping your mind active and alert. Chair-friendly for those with limited mobility. Led by certified senior yoga instructor Janelle Novosad.

    Join in for a terrific time at Tiny Tumblers! Participants will learn to jump, flip and execute basic movements of gymnastics. This class is designed to develop movement flexibility, coordination, and creativity using developmentally appropriate activities and exercises for beginner students. Location: Gober Party House.   3. Tae Kwon Do

    March 30, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Gober Party House

    Tae Kwon Do is an ancient Martial Art that originated in Korea and is more than merely a physical activity. Tae Kwon Do for youth increases attention span, builds confidence, creates discipline all while developing respect and leadership skills. This is a 6-week, 12- class session. Class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. Instructor: Bill Smith.

    Love to Loom? We do too! Join us every Monday from 6-7:30pm for our Rainbow Loom Crew meet up. Bring your supplies and learn something new from your fellow Crew members. There is so much more you can do than just making bracelets, the possibilities are endless.
