  2. Red Cross Lifeguard Course

    March 16, 8:00 AM - March 18, 6:00 PM @ Class will be held at the Temple High School Swim Center located at: 412 N 31st St Temple, TX

    Become a Lifeguard! Gain the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, respond to and care for aquatic and land emergencies until EMS takes over. This is a blended learning course so you will need to register early and complete the online portion before class starts. There is a $35 fee that each student will need to pay the American Red Cross in addition to the Course fee of $175. Expect the online course to take 8-10 hours.     This international smash-hit may be the most popular musical in the world. In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. This a concert production of the musical performed by the Waco Civic Theatre.

    Formed in Austin, Texas, the Band of Heathens became a band totally by accident. Songwriters Colin Brooks, Gordy Quist, and Ed Jurdi were all doing regular sets at Momo's in Austin when they began sitting in with each other, eventually making the whole thing one big show that they called the Good Time Supper Club, which was essentially three singer/songwriters in the round backed by a solid rhythm section of John Chipman on drums and Seth Whitney on bass.
