  1. Cake Wars

    March 6, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Blackmon Community Center

    Are you ready for the challenge? Find a partner and come join the fun. You and your partner will work together and create a fantastic themed cake to take home and show off. You will need to bring one plain 9x13 cake. Themes will be handed out at the beginning of the class and the participants will have 1 hour to create their masterpiece. All decorating items will be provided.

  2. Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

    March 7, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Gober Party House

    Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and Horton Hears a Who! are a few great Dr. Seuss classics. Help celebrate Dr.Seuss’ birthday with a morning full of activities revolving around different Dr. Seuss stories. Location: Gober Party House. For more information, call 254.298.5474.

  3. Young Entrepreneurs Program (Y.E.P)

    March 7, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Blackmon Community Center

    Would you like to learn how to secure and work a full or part-time job? This is a great opportunity for you to learn the basics and get trained to earn extra money. In this program teens will learn social interaction, time management and goal setting. Specialty training will include planting flowers and cleaning windows

    Join in for a terrific time at Tiny Tumblers! Participants will learn to jump, flip and execute basic movements of gymnastics. This class is designed to develop movement flexibility, coordination, and creativity using developmentally appropriate activities and exercises for beginner students. Location: Gober Party House.     Tae Kwon Do is an ancient Martial Art that originated in Korea and is more than merely a physical activity. Tae Kwon Do for youth increases attention span, builds confidence, creates discipline all while developing respect and leadership skills. This is a 6-week, 12- class session. Class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. Instructor: Bill Smith.

    What better way to enjoy art than on a one of a kind painted t-shirt that you can wear and show off? Decorating a t-shirt is a simple way to make yourself an original designer garment. No two shirts will be alike! Master the art of hand painting t-shirts then apply the same technique to other garments in your wardrobe

  10. Preschool Playdate

    Looking for a place for your next playdate? Every second Wednesday of the month, the Blackmon Community Center will be open for kids and their parents to play.   11. Positively Pink Girls Club

    Join this GIRLS-ONLY enrichment group! Participants will become more self confident and improve self esteem, while learning new skills in this non-threatening environment. This group allows your daughter a safe and fun place to be girls! They will develop new friendships and enjoy the time spent together. Each week will feature different activities such as cooking, arts, crafts, jewelry making, etc. The club meets every Wednesday afternoon.

    Join us a for high energy week at Spring Break Sports Camp! Daily sport themes such as baseball/softball, basketball, golf, football, and volleyball will allow campers to focus on a sport and have a fun, skill-based experience. This is a great opportunity to introduce your child to a variety of sports. The location of the camp will change daily depending on the sport of the day

    A Scavenger hunt is a perfect activity for weekend family fun. Engage the family in team work skills that involve children of all ages. Your family will enjoy a nice nature walk on Friars Creek Trail. Participants will meet at the Silverstone Park Pavilion off of Water’s Dairy Road.

    Easter is coming and that can only mean one thing… eggs, eggs & more EGGS! Bring the whole family and learn how to decorate a traditional Easter egg using paint, glitter, ribbon and more. Easter themed crafts will also be created. Bring your own dozen of already boiled eggs and we will provide the rest.

  36. Babysitter Boot Camp

This program includes once per month, themed meetups that feature adaptive recreation opportunities for children with special needs. All activities provide the opportunity for participants to learn new skills, meet new friends and enhance self-esteem and personal growth. Parent participation required
