  1. Pinterest Party

    September 4, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Blackmon Community Center

    Ladies, grab your friends for a fun night out. Enjoy a pinterest project and appetizers, while laughing and hanging out with friends. Child care provided for kids 5 & up. All supplies are provided.

  2. Fun Fridays

    September 5, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Gober Party House

    Fun Fridays will offer activities that children enjoy most: arts & crafts, games, songs, storytelling, and more. This program gives children the opportunity to grow and develop both socially and mentally while giving mom some “me time”. Children must be at least 3 years old and fully potty trained (no diapers or pull-ups allowed). Pre-registration is required.

  3. Trail Trekkies

    September 6, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Fairfield State Park

    Join us as we take a hike through Fairfield State Park. Hikers will also have the opportunity to fish along the way. Transportation and supplies included. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch.

  4. Homespun History Family Day

    September 6, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Railroad and Heritage Museum

    Take a step back in time and learn about traditional crafts like weaving, ceramics, quilting, or metalworking. Watch the experts demonstrate their skills and try your hand at crafting your own old-fashioned masterpiece.

  5. Preschool Playdate

    September 10, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Blackmon Community Center

    Looking for a place for your next playdate? Every second Wednesday of the month, the Blackmon Community Center will be open for kids and their parents to play. There will be a variety of games, activities and crafts to keep the kids engaged and having fun.

  6. Country & Western Dance

    September 11, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Sammons Community Center

    Howdy y'all! Come scoot your boots or tap your feet to the great music of local country and western bands. Singles and couples are welcomed. For each dance your are encouraged to bring a favorite finger food to share during intermission and we will provide the cold drinks and coffee.

    So you want to learn how to float up river? Come join us for a day of Kayaking and Canoeing at Fort Parker state park. Transportation provided. Participants will need a sack lunch.

  10. ROUTE 66 OPENING NIGHT GALA

    September 19, 6:00 PM @ Railroad & Heritage Museum

    This exciting new exhibit will begin with an Opening Night Gala on Friday, September 19, at 6:00pm. The Gala will include a night of fun, food and entertainment. Guests will be treated to a variety of food and beers from along Route 66! Retro music will be performed by a live band. The event will also feature a live and silent auction, door prizes and a private preview of the Route 66 exhibit! Local car clubs will have a variety of classic cars on display as they “cruise” along Avenue B in front of the Depot. Step back in time, have fun and support the museum!

  11. Friday Night Live

    September 19, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Wilson Park Recreation Center

    Come to Wilson Park Recreation Center the second Friday of each month for a fun teen night! Activities include Ga Ga Ball, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, arts & crafts, and so much more. Participants will be entered each night to win cool prizes. Each month is a different theme; participants that dress up will get a $1 off at the door. Parents are required to sign their child in and out.

  12. Home School Day Camp

    September 26, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Wilson Park Recreation Center

    Homeschoolers, come enjoy a day of archery, adventure games, a climbing wall challenge, and many other great activities.
