The Wheels on the Truck Go Round and Round At 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event

Take part in the 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck event presented by Temple Parks and Leisure Services on Friday, August 22nd from 9-11am at the Gober Party House in Temple.

The ever popular Touch-A-Truck event allows children the opportunity to see, touch, climb into and find out what it is really like to get behind the wheel of some of the vehicles they see on the roads every day. Along with the many trucks on-site, transportation themed arts and crafts, snacks, sensory activities and a bounce house will be available to add to the fun and excitement.

This year’s vehicle lineup includes a Temple police cruiser and fire truck, SWAT truck, McLane Children’s Scott & White ambulance, Temple ISD’s WOW bus, USPS mail truck, and a wide variety of City of Temple Public Works’ vehicles.

“Touch A Truck allows children a hands-on opportunity to explore working trucks of all types and to meet the people who build, protect, and serve the Temple community,” said Terri Landeros, Recreation Specialist for the City of Temple Parks and Leisure Services.

Cost for the event is $5 per child, ages 2-8. For more information on the event or to register, please visit www.templeparks.com. If your business or organization has a unique vehicle you would like to share with the community at the Touch-A-Truck event, please contact Terri Landeros at 254-298-5474.
