The Debonaires Perform Free Concert to Celebrate National Park and Recreation Month

Temple Parks and Leisure Services will conclude National Park and Recreation Month, with a free concert featuring The Debonaires! The concert will take place this Thursday evening, July 31st at the Lion Sam Farrow Amphitheater in Lions Park (4320 Lions Park Rd) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Debonaires, a local favorite in Central Texas, are a staple at dancehalls and honkey tonks all over the state. For over thirty years, the band has been playing the country music circuit and performing original music, as well as covers from best artists in country music today. The band will feature a great selection from all-time favorites such as George Strait, Blake Shelton, Merle Haggard and Garth Brooks.

“We are really excited to wrap up National Parks and Recreation Month with an evening of country music in the park, featuring the Debonaires”, said Holly Leiferman, Special Events Coordinator for Parks and Leisure Services. “We hope everybody can come out to the amphitheater with their friends and family to enjoy some good quality, free entertainment.

Throughout the month of July, Temple Parks and Leisure Services has been celebrating National Park and Recreation Month with a series of unique programming, free concerts, special events, and contests throughout the parks, pools and recreation facilities.
