Hot Summer Sounds Concert Series Comes to a Close This Friday

The Scott & White Health Plan Hot Summer Sounds concert series will host its final concert of the 2014 season featuring a performance by the Newsboyz Party Band. The concert will take place this Friday night, July 25th, in Miller Park (1919 North 1st Street) from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Founded in 1996, the Newsboyz have been pleasing audiences throughout Texas for over fifteen years and have set the standard of entertainment in the “variety dance band” category. Widely regarded as one of the most versatile bands around, the group keeps the audience dancing from start to finish by playing the Top 40, Country and Oldies hits you want to hear. The band features two distinct male vocalists complimenting a pair of female vocalists to form an energetic vocal sound.

“We have had a wonderful Hot Summer Sounds Concert Series this summer and hope everybody can come to Miller Park this Friday night as the series concludes,” said Holly Leiferman, Parks and Leisure Services Special Events Coordinator. “We would also like to thank our sponsor, Scott and White Health Plan, as we would not be able to bring the music series to the park each week without their support.”

Hot Summer Sounds is free and open to the public. Concerts are held every Friday night at 7:30 p.m. through July 25th. For more information about the free weekly Hot Summer Sounds Concert Series presented by The Scott & White Health Plan, please visit www.templeparks.com or call (254) 298-5440.
