Sammons Golf Links to Host Tournament Benefitting Junior Golf

Temple Parks and Leisure Services and Sammons Golf Links invite you to participate in the “Growing the Game” Golf Tournament benefitting Junior Golf in Temple and the surrounding areas. This 4-man scramble tournament will tee off on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. and everyone is invited to attend.

“I am very proud we are able to host this tournament to help raise funds for children in our community to be introduced to the sport of golf each year,” said Sammons Golf Links Director, Jeff Ward. “Golf is a great outlet to enjoy the outdoors, while learning rules and structure. It is also a great activity parents and children can enjoy together.”

Players may pre-register in person at Sammons Golf Links for $60; Tournament day registration is $75. Tournament fees include a round of golf, cart rental, breakfast, lunch and a goody bag. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishing teams. Prizes will include Titleist Scotty Cameron Putters, Ping Golf Bags and Titleist Vokey Wedges. Additional contests will be held throughout the day and prizes will be awarded.

The Growing the Game Tournament is open to the public and is sponsored in part by the American Legion Post #133, Materials Transportation Company, Western Insurance Agency in Copperas Cove, Eminent Spine in Georgetown and John Sammons.

All proceeds go to growing the game through the Junior Golf Academy. For more information or to register, visit www.golfsammons.com or call 254.771.2030.
