City of Temple Announces Completed Improvements to South Pea Ridge Road

W. Adams Ave. Bridge to I-35 South Closure Postponed

The July 30 closure of the W. Adams Avenue bridge crossing over I-35 and connecting to I-35 south has been postponed until Sunday August 10, from 10 PM to 7 AM. This closure will be permanent.

City Accepts Household Grease

The City of Temple is now accepting waste vegetable oil (no shortening or hydrogenated oil) at the Solid Waste facility located at 3219 Bullseye Lane.

City Council Names Interim City Manager

The City Council has named Jonathan Graham to serve as Interim City Manager effective August 29th to fill a position vacated by the retirement of David Blackburn. Mr. Graham currently holds the title of City Attorney.

Library Receives Grant from Texas State Library and Archives Commission

The Temple Public Library has been awarded a $5,000 grant to purchase equipment and supplies that support the improvement of public access technology within the library.

Temple City Manager David Blackburn announced July 3 that he will resign / retire from his position after August 28. Blackburn, who has served the city for the past decade in his current role and almost 30 years in local government service.
