City Council Names Interim City Manager

The City Council has named Jonathan Graham to serve as Interim City Manager effective August 29th to fill a position vacated by the retirement of David Blackburn. Mr. Graham currently holds the title of City Attorney.

Library Receives Grant from Texas State Library and Archives Commission

Temple City Manager Announces Retirement

Temple City Manager David Blackburn announced July 3 that he will resign / retire from his position after August 28. Blackburn, who has served the city for the past decade in his current role and almost 30 years in local government service.

Temple Airport Completes Largest Construction Project in Airport History

This past week, Temple’s Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport completed construction on the largest project in Airport History. The $8 Million dollar project has reconstructed the airport’s secondary runway 02/20.

Kevin Beavers Promoted to Director of Parks and Leisure Services

City of Temple Receives Alternative Fuels Initiative Grants

The City of Temple is the recipient of two grants from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, totaling $60,000. These grants will provide funds to off-set the purchase costs of two compressed natural gas (CNG) powered solid waste refuse trucks.
