City of Temple Receives 20th Consecutive Distinguished Budget Award

For the 20th consecutive year, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the City of Temple the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its fiscal year 2014-2015 budget document.

City Council Authorizes Settlement Agreement with Gulf States Toyota

Last year, Gulf States advised the City and TEDC that it would not proceed with the contemplated project. Since that time, the City and the TEDC have worked with Gulf States to agree on the timing of the return of the land to the City or TEDC.

I-35 Northbound Exit #300/57th Street to close until late Summer 2015

Starting March 17, at 7 pm, the northbound exit ramp, Exit #300/57th St., will be closed until late Summer 2015. The contractor will be shifting mainlane I-35 traffic and northbound frontage road traffic.

Prairie View Road Extension from Research Parkway to N. Pea Ridge Road

The City of Temple is moving forward with the construction of Prairie View Road between Research Parkway and N. Pea Ridge Road. This new stretch of thoroughfare is an integral component of the City’s Transportation Capital Improvement Program (TCIP).

Temple Police Chief Will Retire After 37 Years of Service

City Council Names Interim City Manager

The City Council has named Jonathan Graham to serve as Interim City Manager effective August 29th to fill a position vacated by the retirement of David Blackburn. Mr. Graham currently holds the title of City Attorney.

Temple Airport Completes Largest Construction Project in Airport History
