The Contemporaries’ Annual Holiday BOW-tique.

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Get your holiday shopping started off right at the annual holiday Bow-tique!

Since 1995, The Contemporaries of The CAC have begun the Holiday season with a bodacious boutique named in true Texas fashion, Holiday BOW-tique! This is a two day event held at The CAC for the people of Bell County , free and open to the public as an early Holiday Gift.

Through the years, many vendors have “set up shop” to show their unique items as early Christmas gift selections. These items have included many hand-crafted items such as fashion jewelry, crocheted and knitted objects, stained glass stepping stones, Christmas tree ornaments, soaps, glassware, ceramics, stylish garments and accessories, homemade breads, cakes and candies! And more! More! More!

Co-Chaired by Jean Thorp and Hilde Cort, this year’s event will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 6 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7 at the Cultural Activities Center’s Strasburger Hall
. Each day food will be for sale. You can either eat in or take out.

“For you working ladies who miss the Tuesday night event, you may want to pre-order a lunch and pick it up on Wednesday, since it sells out fast. Take your lunch hour to shop and have a delicious lunch while helping support the arts,” said Jean Thorp, Co-Chairman of the Holiday
BOW-tique. For pre-orders call Jean Thorp at 778-6430 prior to the day of the event.

Admission is free and door prizes will be given throughout the day, courtesy of the vendors. Interested vendors are invited to contact The CAC at (254)773-9926 for detail information on how to rent a booth. The vendor fee is nominal and attracts not only local people but merchandisers from San Angelo, Dallas and San Antonio. Proceeds from the table rentals and a percentage of the food sales will be given to the CAC as part of The Contemporaries support for the center.
