Wee-Discover the World is an early literacy program, designed for children ages 3-5. This program was created to aid in the development of oral language skills, multicultural understandings, as well as the enhancement of creativity. Studies show that children in this age group grasp concepts better with hands-on experiences. Therefore, the Wee-Discover the World program combines the development of oral language skills through children literature with: vibrant lesson, arts and crafts projects, “Little Chefs” cooking classes, Cultural games, music activities, science and more. This program also
promotes positive and beneficial interaction with children, their peers and parents.
This innovative and interactive program was created in 2009 in Killeen, TX. Approximately 40 children have participated in the program, which will be offered at the Cultural Activities Center of Temple starting in January.
Our Wee-Discover the World Early Literacy Program will be held on Tuesday's starting January 17th from 10:00am-11:30am at the Cultural Activities Center of Temple. The cost for weekly programming is $45 per month. Children will learn that “When wee-discover the world, possibilities are endless.
