4th Annual Bush’s Spring Chicken 10K Race
Saturday, March 22, 2014
Shake the winter blues by getting out and training for the 4th Annual Spring Chicken 10K. This 6.2 mile race will begin and end at West Temple Park.
Temple Parks and Leisure Services presents the 4th Annual Bush’s Spring Chicken 10K Race. This chip timed event will take place on Saturday, March 22nd at 8 a.m. The race, which begins and ends at West Temple Park, will take runners on scenic roadways surrounding the park.
“Spring is right around the corner. There is not a better way to get out and enjoy the great outdoors than by participating in a
10K race,” said Tracy Klusacek, Athletic Coordinator for Temple Parks and Leisure Services. “We are very excited to have Bush’s Chicken as the title sponsor of this year’s event. Corey Bush and his staff will be on-site race day to serve refreshments at the finish line”, Klusacek said.
Pre-registration is $25 and closes on March 18. Race day registration is $30. Medals will be presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as to the top three finishers in each age group.
“After an extremely successful third year we anticipate continued growth in this year’s event. It is a great course for those running their first 10K or the serious athlete trying to set a personal record. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome”, continued Klusacek. Sponsors who have made this year’s event possible include: Bush’s Chicken, K101.7, The Carlson Law Firm and Temple Parks and Leisure Services.
Those wishing to participate can register at any of Temple Parks and Leisure Services Recreation Centers or online at
Course maps, mail-in registration forms and more information can also be found online. For more information about the Spring Chicken 10K, please contact Athletic Coordinator Tracy Klusacek at 254.298.5582.
