Early morning, April 5th , the Contemporaries of the CAC are opening the festival with a 5K fun Run/Walk and 1 Mile open to all participants of Central Texas. The run begins on the grounds of the Cultural Activities Center and ends back on CAC grounds. Runners will get goody bags, a t-shirt, and win prizes for participating. This is “not your usual run, as it’s a run for the roof”, says Jane Boone Marketing director of the CAC as all proceeds benefit your City’s Cultural Activities Center. The Contemporaries of the CAC work hard to create fun events, Galas, and fundraisers that reach a broad spectrum of audiences and ages while all benefitting the community as a whole. Supporting the run is a way to go “off the indoors beaten path and get outdoors with a spring run/ walk”, truly something fun for everyone. Volunteers are always welcomed to help with the run or women are welcome to join the Contemporaries to help create more events in 2014-2015.
