  1. Red Cross Lifeguard Course

    May 22, 5:00 PM - May 24, 8:00 PM @ Class will be held at the Temple High School Swim Center located at: 412 N 31st St Temple, TX

    Become a Lifeguard! Gain the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, respond to and care for aquatic and land emergencies until EMS takes over. This is a blended learning course so you will need to register early and complete the online portion before class starts. There is a $35 fee that each student will need to pay the American Red Cross in addition to the Course fee of $175. Expect the online course to take 8 hours. You must register at Sammons Indoor Pool at least ten days before class begins. Sammons Indoor Pool is located at: 2220 W Ave D Temple, TX

    WORLD PREMIERE — A twenty minute short film from award-winning local filmmakers Jared Smith and Spencer Mathesen. The film was funded by members of Central Texas community, and was shot in Bell County and the surrounding areas. Starring Vincent Hooper, Natalie Pavelek and Ellary Dahl, Green Skies is a personal exploration of relationships in the modern age. Event hosted by Chris Greene. Special musical guest — Mikah Young. Q&A Panel with the cast and crew following the screening. (Perks for those who contributed to the Indiegogo fundraising campaign will be available for pickup at the screening.)

    Join this girls-only enrichment group to become more self confident, improve self esteem while learning new skills in this non-threatening environment. This group will allow your daughter a safe and fun place to just be girls! We will develop new friendships and enjoy the time we spend together. Each week will feature different activities like cooking, arts, crafts, jewelry making, etc. The club meets every Wednesday afternoon.
