Bids

The City of Temple is proud to announce that as of February 1, 2015 we have been using Public Purchase, a web-based eProcurement service used by many public entities throughout the nation and Texas.

Solicitation Information
Interested vendors can download solicitation information directly from the Public Purchase website, including engineered drawings and specifications. Once a plan holder for a particular bid, Public Purchase allows for real time distribution via email of any addenda associated with a solicitation.

Notifications
In order to be notified of bid opportunities, you must become a registered vendor of the City of Temple through Public Purchase. There is no cost to register as a vendor.

Registration Instructions
Register With Public Purchase
Proceed to "Register With he City of Temple" if you are already registered with Public Purchase as a result of being a vendor of another entity that uses Public Purchase.
  1. Go to the registration page to begin the registration process. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for your account to become active. It is important that you carefully select all of the classifications that apply to your business as these classifications will drive who is notified regarding new bid opportunities.
  2. You will receive an email letting you know your account is activated.
  3. Be sure and add this email address to your contacts to avoid the bid notification emails being sent to your junk folder.
Register with the City of Temple
Once you have received your activation email from Public Purchase, log in to the website.
  1. Click on the Tools tab.
  2. Click on the Agencies tab. This will take you to the agency search page.
  3. In the Agency Name box, type in "City of Temple".
  4. Leave the New Agency Since box blank.
  5. Make sure Registration Status says "ALL."
  6. Click on the Search button, which will populate a list that will include the City of Temple, Texas.
  7. Click on the Register link to the far right to complete the vendor registration with the City of Temple.
  8. If you desire to register with other entities that are clients of Public Purchase, you may desire to do a general search and register with other agencies.
It is important that the 2nd part of the registration is complete or you will not received notifications of upcoming bid opportunities from the City of Temple. It is your responsibility to keep your company's information up-to-date, particularly your contacts and email addresses.
